Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (D)

Welcome upon arrival by Viet Vision Travel’s tour guide and driver at the outside of security gate, we then transfer to hotel in city center. Relax after a long flight journey we then enjoy our welcome dinner on Saigon River cruise. Tonight, parents and children can explore the Ben Thanh night market for the first idea of beautiful Saigon or just relax at the hotel. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 2: Saigon City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

Based on seasons, we may visit Cu Chi Tunnel in the morning and Saigon city in the afternoon or via verse. There are two seasons in a year and Cu Chi Tunnel is recommended to visit first due to the raining season (from May to Oct).

Cu Chi Tunnel is 70 km far from Saigon, which is a tourist destination nowadays. This is a tunnel system that heroic Southern Vietnamese people built during the French and American war to protect and fight against enemies. After more than one hour driving, we get there and enjoy a half of hour seeing the video about its history and how to explore this famous area. With an expert tour guide, we will follow some part of tunnels which tourists permitted to enter; enjoy some special food that cooked for old soldiers and people during wars. They are cassava, tea…. We can also take photos with many history models in the Cu Chi Tunnel system. The way out, we may pass by the shooting range to experience to fire real bullets (costs US$1/bullet) or just free for shopping at the souvenir shops.

Back to Saigon for lunch at Vietnamese style restaurant or kids’ favorite food (KFC, Italian food…) and take an afternoon tour in Saigon.

We will visit the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace during the Old South Vietnam Government; the War Remnant Museum with various artifacts, photographs & picture documents of the war. Then we stop at the Notre Dame Cathedral and Post Office to catch our beautiful and memorable photos of our trip, and shopping time in Ben Thanh market. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L)

Today we travel to the heart of Mekong Delta to visit Cai Be colorful floating market. The trip should be started at 7h00AM so the family can be at the floating market when it’s busiest. This is a wholesale floating market in Mekong Delta where the big boats selling and the smaller boats buying. The products will be carried to all the villages in Mekong Delta on the smaller boats. The local people here sell and buy in peace, very friendly and close. The boat will cruise us among local barges of fruits and vegetables. We can buy anything we like with the help of a tour guide or just “eye” shopping around. There a hundred opportunities for photos.

Aftermarket, the rowing boat will take family deeper into the small canals where we come closer to local life. We have seasonal fruits while enjoying traditional music performance, lunch at local home and bike along the village paths. Bid farewell with villages, we cruise back to Vinh Long city where our friendly driver brings us back to Ho Chi Minh City. Tonight, the family is free for favorite activities.

Day 4: Saigon – Fly to Nha Trang (B)

Today we leave busy Saigon city to one of the best beach cities in Vietnam. Nha Trang with Cam Ranh Bay is one of the best Bay in the world. There will be blue sky, white sand and honey sun in this tourist city that makes family’s time relaxing.

Arriving in Nha Trang after one hour flight, we are welcome on arrival by local tour guide and driver then transfer to the city. We spend the last time of the day for swimming at the beach. Overnight in Nha Trang

Day 5: Nha Trang – Island & Snorkeling tour (B, L)

This morning, we take our private wooden boat to some islands where we do water activities such as snorkeling, swimming…. We firstly stop at Mieu Island to visit Tri Nguyen Aquarium to see the small ocean with various sea species. Later, we boat Mun Island to do snorkeling with an expert. Children can keep stay at the beach if they can’t join. There are some water sports that family can join at Mot Island, Tranh Beach Island or others smaller. We enjoy a fresh seafood lunch and visit a fishing village on the way back.

Tour ends at 4h00pm. Back to the hotel, we relax and overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 6: Nha Trang – Hanoi (B)

In the morning, the family can try some hours at Thap Ba mud Spa to get experience with very special relaxing services in this beach city. It’s good for skin and help in some ways. Or we are only relaxing at the beach until the time to transfer to the airport to take two-hour flight to Hanoi. Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam with a deep history. Hanoi city is very elegant but busy nowadays. Awaiting tour guide and driver will welcome family and drive us to the center where we check in hotel and relax. On the way, we will stop at the West Lake area to get sunset (if any) and enjoy a cup of coffee, fruit shakes…in the best area in Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)

Today we explore Hanoi with a classic city tour with the full day from 8h00am to 7h30pm up on the water puppet show time. We visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum first where is only open in the morning and other sites around such as Ba Dinh Square, The Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, His house on stilt, Ho Chi Min’s fishing pond and Ho Chi Minh museum. We can skip the museum if we are not really interested in. After this place, we take a short drive to next vestige of Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam which is now a temple. The Vietnamese students whoever wishes to be here one time in the student life to praise for their future success. We may also meet and contact with students who come here for their last year of universities photo shoots….

After our lunch at a local restaurant, we keep on our journey to the outskirt of Hanoi to visit the Ethnology museum where we can see all 54 ethnic minorities of Vietnam. The museum arrangement will lead us from this minority to another, from Delta to mountain; and we will have the idea for people, culture, and character of this country.

Back to the city, we experience Hanoi daily life on a cyclo tour. Each cyclo driver will take one member of the family, one follows one along the old streets. Then they stop us in front of the Water Puppet Theater for our one hour watching the traditional art performance.

Tonight, the family can find the favorite food at various restaurants in the Old Quarter and walk to the night market if time is the weekend. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Today we travel to Northeast of Hanoi to Halong Bay where we will spend almost our time on the deluxe junk cruise. It takes us around 3-hour driving then we catch the pier in the middle day. It’s not a long and tiring journey as the driver will stop us at a workshop on the way. Welcome upon arrival by crew team, our luggage will be checked in by them and tenders will sail us to the junk cruise. Joining the briefing about safety on board, we then check in and have delicious lunch while cruising deeper into the World Natural Heritage Bay.

In the afternoon, we join all activities on the cruise with tour guide as schedule such as kayaking, visiting the cave, swimming (if weather permits), climbing to the island to get a panorama of the Bay or just lazily relax on the sundeck or enjoy spa services available on cruise…. We enjoy fresh seafood dinner on board and stay overnight on the tranquil Bay of Halong.

Note: Children can share the kayak with parents or tour guide. It’s safe with light kayak and life jackets.

Day 9: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)

Sunrise time on Halong Bay is “should-not-be-missed” time. Trying to get up early, go up to the sundeck and join Tai Chi session with Master or just relax on the chair, enjoy a cup of morning coffee, tea to see the sunrise and fresh Halong Bay. After that, we enjoy breakfast and join the activities that tour guide informs during breakfast time. We check out at about 10 AM and take luggage out of cabins so crew team will bring them to the pier where our awaiting vehicle and tour guide are ready to welcome the family back to Hanoi. We arrive in Hanoi at approximately 5h00pm. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi – Departure (B)

Today we will depart to the airport as appointed time with tour guide before then take the flight to home. Trip ends.
