TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01: Hanoi – Mai Chau (165 km)
Have breakfast at your hotel, at 7:30 AM check out, and drive to Mai Chau through Hoa Binh province. Start a cycle from Luong Son via Bai Chao village to Cao Phong town. Have lunch on the way then ride downhill from Thong Khe Pass to Mai Chau on a single track through Thai minority villages. Ride past terraced fields and beautiful valleys. Overnight in a stilt house of a Thai-tribe village. O/N in Poom Coong Village.

Day 02: Mai Chau – Nhu Xuan (150 km)
Leave Mai Chau in the early morning, ride on a small track and paved trails along the Ma river until we reach Cam Thuy town, where we stop for lunch. We start cycling on the Ho Chi Minh trail (now a newly built highway) to Nhu Xuan town. The hilly mountains roads to Ngoc Lac will allow you to challenge your riding skills. Continue riding to Nhu Xuan in the late afternoon. Overnight in Nhu Xuan

Day 03: Nhu Xuan – Do Luong – Nam Dan -Vinh (170 km)
Today, we have a chance to visit Uncle Ho’s house. Nam Dan district, Kiem Lien village is not only the homeland of Ho Chi Minh but also the hometown of many anti-colonist leaders. Ride on the new Ho Chi Minh highway to Kiem Lien village via Tan Ky and Do Luong. Visit Uncle Ho’s house in the afternoon, and have a short drive to Vinh city. Overnight in Vinh.

Day 04: Vinh – Dong Loc T-junction – Huong Khe (120 km)
In the morning, ride to Dong Loc, the T-junction, which has become unforgettable memorial history in the country from 1964-to 1972, when soldiers, young volunteers, cadres, and workers guaranteed safe transport to the battlefield. Many people from different localities laid down their lives. In particular, the death of 10 young volunteer girls at Dong Loc T-junction has come to symbolize the patriotism of the era. Now, the Dong Loc T-junction relic has become a commemorative area for the national young volunteer force. In the afternoon, ride to Huong Khe.

Day 05: Huong Khe – Phong Nha (180 km)
Start cycling from a hotel to Phong Nha World Heritage. Ride nearly 90 km of winding roads up the Truong Son mountain range to Phong Nha. From here, if time permits we will take a boat trip to visit the cave.

Day 06: Phong Nha – Khe Sanh (165 km)
Today, we cycle south through the DMZ where Viet Cong and US soldiers clashed when the country was divided. Follow the eastern Ho Chi Minh trails to visit Truong Son Cemetery and cycle to Khe Sanh via Cam Lo. Overnight in Khe Sanh.

Day 07: Khe Sanh – A Luoi (138 km)
In the morning we head south over the Da Krong Bridge (built by the Cubans in 1973) then jump into back roads and keep riding through remote villages to A Luoi. Overnight in A Luoi

Day 08: A Luoi – Hue (120 km)
The bike ride of today is easy, the terrain is flat. The distance of biking is 60 km. We will have a bus transfer for the last 14 km to the former capital of Vietnam. Explore dinner on your own. Overnight in Hue city.

Day 09: Hue city tour (30 km)
Spend a whole day visiting, exploring the Forbidden Citadel, Royal Tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, and by bicycle in the morning. Ride on hilly country roads to Thanh Toan tile-roofed Bridge crosses a canal flowing from the beginning to the end of Thanh Toan village, Thuy Thanh Commune, Huong Thuy District. Explore dinner on your own and free for shopping in Hue.

Day 10: Hue – Hoi An (140 km)
Have breakfast and transfer to the outskirts of Hue, Thuan An Dist. Start riding on the coast roads to Phuoc Tuong Pass. Pedal past colorful ancient burial grounds, rice farming land, and fishing villages. Have lunch at Lang Co beach, after lunch, pedal uphill to the top of Hai Van Pass, then downhill to the Pass of Hai Van. Transfer by van to Hoi An in the late afternoon.Explore dinner on your own

Day 12: Hoi An – My Son (30 km)
Start riding from Hoi An to My Son, the Champa Imperial city of the 4th to 12th centuries. Ride through rural villages to My Son, and spend an hour visiting the large complex of religious ruins comprising more than 70 architectural remains. Transfer back to Hoi An for lunch. Free for shopping in the town of Hoi An.

Day 13 : Hoi An – Quang Ngai (180 km)
Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Cycle south of Hoi An to Cua Dai beach and cross the Thu Bon river. Ride on back roads through yellow dunes to Tam Ky. Have lunch before transferring to Chau O for an afternoon bike ride. Ride on country roads to My Lai village to visit the memorial of the massacre to remember 504 locals who died. Continue cycling to the hotel in the town of Quang Ngai.

Day 14 : Quang Ngai – Qui Nhon (170 km)
A morning transfer to ocean villages on the outskirts of Quang Ngai. Ride through rice fields and rural villages and coconut tree plantations along the ocean. Lunch at a local restaurant then continues an afternoon of riding on beautiful back roads through mountainous areas to the city of Qui Nhon. Transfer for 20 minutes to the city of Qui Nhon.

Day 15: Qui Nhon – Nha Trang (185 km)
Cycling from your hotel along the coastline to reach highway 1 for 25km and transfer to Bang Lang church to start cycling on back roads and racing with the Reunification train, rocking and rolling on the bike on hilly back roads. Have a picnic lunch, continue your bike ride in the afternoon and finish today’s ride in the countryside of Tuy Hoa. Transfer to Nha Trang in the late afternoon. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 16 : Nha Trang boat trip

Transfer 30 minutes to Dien Khanh ancient town, start to pedal easily on back roads in the morning, pedal past brick factories, and rice fields, and have lunch en route. In the afternoon, continue to pedal rolling hills and cross the Truong Son mountain range to Dalat. Overnight in Dalat.
