TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Chau Doc – Long Xuyen (L/D) (40 – 80 km)
8:00 AM our guide will pick you up from your hotel and will leave HCM for Chau Doc one day before so that your bike guide could meet you at your accommodation in the evening. After you are picked up in the morning, your guide will make the tour brief before the ride starts. A short transfer to the rural village of Chau Doc, then explore immense rice fields and villages along the border to Tra Su cajuput forest. Home of a wide variety of flora including lotus, water lilies…Tra Su forest has been known as a bird sanctuary and is famous for its diverse wildlife. You will have a leisurely sampan rowing boat and motorboat riding through the forest. In the afternoon, we bike through new farming lands that local settlers have been here after Vietnam War in 1978. We will ride through a huge manmade canal with water trucks moving as the main means of transport over here.
Day 2: Long Xuyen – Can Tho (B/L/D) ( 30 – 90 km)
After breakfast at your hotel, you will have a short break at the crocodile farm before a morning ride starts. Sharing paths with locals on the bike, pedaling over wooden bridges into villages, see farmers raising animals; raising ducks, frogs and fish along canals and on rice-paddy fields. After lunch at the Co Do market, we continue biking through bustling local markets, and beautiful rural areas to Tho Lai. If time permits, we continue to pedal to Phong Dien. Right here, a 30-minute transfer will take you to Can Tho city.
Day 3: Can Tho – Tra Vinh (B/L/D) (75 – 90 km)
See the floating market of Cai Rang by boat and land markets of An Binh before you get back on your bike to explore Islands of grapes, and oranges and share space with kids on ferries crossings natural creeks. After lunch in Cau Ke, we will ride deeper into hamlets of Khmer and cross large rice fields to Tra Vinh city.
Day 4: Tra Vinh – Ben Tre – Saigon (B/L) (25 – 45 km)
Your last ride will begin at the riverside of the Mekong River after a short drive from your hotels. You will have the pleasure to ride through the coconut farming lands of Ben Tre and see such happy people with their daily lives on their land. Your lunch will be served in My Tho city before we relax on the A/C van to HCMC. Tour The End!
