China Eastern Yunnan Airlines will increase its flight frequency from Kunming, capital of southwest China’s Yunnan Province, to Cambodia’s Siem Reap and Thailand’s Chiang Rai, the airline said Saturday.

Starting Jan. 16, six roundtrip flights operated by the airline will be made between Kunming and Siem Reap every Monday to Saturday, compared with the current three roundtrip flights every week.

Flight frequency of the Kunming-Chiang Rai air route will also be increased from three to six every Monday to Saturday starting Jan. 21.

According to the airline, with increased flight frequency, the two air routes can provide tourists with more options and will further promote bilateral economic and people-to-people exchanges.

China Eastern Yunnan Airlines operates 133 domestic routes, four regional routes and 33 international routes, providing more than 300 flights a day.
