15 Days Vietnam Panorama Tour from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi with SaPa

Day 1: International Arrival, Ho Chi Minh City

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, your guide will wait for you with your name sign at the airport, and then escort you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Sightseeing

This morning, set out for the incredible underground Cu Chi Tunnel constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the Vietnam War. Continue with a city tour of Ho Chi Minh City including the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace (the former Presidential Palace). There, Ben Thanh Market, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall are all within walking distance and absolutely nice choices for a free stroll.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Can Tho

Today, head for My Tho in Mekong Delta to take a boat trip on Tien River and visit My Tho Fish Marketand four islands. Later, ride a cart through a beautiful village to the Mr. Muoi Hai’s House to enjoy honey tea. After a sampan cruise along the canals of Mekong River, return to My Tho pier and drive to Can Tho. Check-in and enjoy some leisure time on your own.

Day 4: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City – Hue

Today, start with a boat trip along the endless waterways of mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang Floating Market where hundreds of boats are loaded with fruits, vegetables and fish jostling for trade, and a visit to the Bun Tau Noodle Factory.

After lunch, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 5: Hue City Tour

After breakfast, you will first visit the majestic Minh Mang Tomb erected in 1840. Then sail the Perfume River by Royal Dragon Boat to the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda, the tallest one in Vietnam. Continue to visit Imperial Citadel with cobbled paths and tour the Forbidden Purple City, a walled fortress and palace in the former capital. Later on, absorb the energy, sounds, and odors of the bustling Dong Ba Market.

Day 6: Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An

After breakfast, head for Hoi An while enjoying the views of the coast and Da Nang from the top of Hai Van Pass on the way. On arrival in Da Nang, visit Non Nuoc BeachCham Museum which has a fascinating collection of rare works of art, and the famous Marble Mountain. You will arrive in Hoi An in the afternoon. Check in to the hotel and have some leisure time on your own.

Day 7: Hoi An Sightseeing

After breakfast, go around the tiny town of Hoi An to visit the Japanese Bridge, the famous Chinese Temple, and Vietnamese former merchants house. Continue to visit the home of a craftsman in the old street in Hoi An Town, where you can discover the daily life of Hoi An people and see how they make a lantern. Here, you will have a chance to try Paper Lantern Making and keep it as a souvenir.

Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Hanoi

This morning, you will have a half-day tour to My Son Sanctuary of the former Cham Kingdom. After lunch, be escorted back to Da Nang airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 9: Hanoi City Tour

This morning, explore Hanoi by touring some major historic sites, including Ho Chi Minh MausoleumHo Chi Minh House on StiltOne Pillar PagodaTran Quoc Pagoda, and Quan Thanh Temple.

In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology and cycle through the Old Quarter of Hanoi by rickshaw (about 1 hour). Next stop is Hoan Kiem Lake, followed by Ngoc Son Temple, and a Water Puppet Show.

Note: Please note that the HCM Mausoleum is closed on Fridays and Mondays and most museums are closed on Mondays.

Day 10: Hanoi – Sapa

After breakfast, drive to Sapa from Hanoi (about 5 hours), and you can stop for a break or take photos en route. After checking in the hotel and taking a rest at Sapa, you will visit the Silver Waterfall – the most beautiful waterfall in Sapa, and then enjoy the great view and feeling at the “Heaven Gate” of Sapa – the highest point of Hoang Lien Son mountain range where you can see majestic Lai Chau Valley and imposing Fanxipan mount.

Day 11: Sapa Trekking Tour

Today, you will take a morning walking tour to a busy market where Red Dao, Black & Flower H’Mong, Tay and other ethnic minority people converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their silverware and handicrafts to buy provisions.

Afterward, you will do a trekking tour (about 3 hours) to Lao Chai and Ta Van Village of the Black H’mong and the Day people. Enjoy the amazing scenery of the imposing mountain range, trek down the world’s most beautiful terraced rice fields, visit some local families on the way and learn the unique culture and life of these ethnic groups. Drive back to Sapa for overnight.

Day 12: Sapa – Hanoi

This morning, you will visit Ma Tra Village first and then trek through the rice terraces to Ta Phin Villageof the Red Dao minority (about 3 hours). After lunch in the village, drive back to Hanoi.

Day 13: Hanoi – Halong Bay

After breakfast, set out for a rich Halong Bay cruise.

After a 3-hour scenic drive to the pier, check into your private cabin and start cruising towards Bai Tu Long Bay. Besides admiring the stunning scenery and visiting Vong Vieng Fishing Village to discover the life of local people, you will also enjoy optional activities such as kayaking, kite flying, cave adventure, etc. Spend a romantic night on board at Halong Bay.

Day 14: Halong Bay – Hanoi

Today, continue your unforgettable Halong Bay cruise and enjoy a brunch before disembarking. Drive back to Hanoi and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
