Day 1. Arrival in Luang Prabang – Baci Ceremony

Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, your guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. After a short break, climb to Phousi Mountain in the heart of the town, full of charming temples that blend into the surrounding rock outcrops. You can admire the whole town from the top. Visit the sacred gilded stupa, and then head down to the night market to explore a variety of vegetarian and Southeast Asian-style souvenirs.

Day 2. Morning Alms Giving – Cruise to Pak Ou Caves

Today, you can explore the city by visiting the 18th century Buddhist temple Wat Sene. Head to Wat Xieng Thong for more religious insights. Sail along the upper Mekong and admire the peaceful countryside on both sides. Stop to visit Banshanhai Village, which features distilled rice wine.

Later, admire the Pak Ou Caves, which dates back thousands of years and contains more than 4,000 Buddha statues.

On the way back to Luang Prabang, visit Ban Phanom, a village featuring cotton and linen and silk weaving. In the afternoon, arrive at Wat Visoun, then stop at Wat Aham with stone stupas and prayer halls decorated with colored fresco sand, and reach the Wat Mai with golden Buddha statues and wood carvings ( Wat Mai) stopped. Finally, visit the Royal Palace Museum, a great place to learn about Laos and its unique history.

Day 3. Elephant Village and Tad Sae Waterfalls

It is worth getting up early and attending morning alms ceremony from a distance. It is usually held at 5:30 AM and from this moment you can see the entire religious ceremony. After the ceremony, do n’t skip the morning market, this is a very good wet market, displaying local specialties, spices, fish, meat, etc. Visit Ban Ouay village and experience the living environment of Lao ethnic minorities.

Afterwards, drive to the breathtaking Khouang Si Waterfall, a great place to enjoy the breathtaking views, you can take a swim and enjoy a truly wonderful experience. Transfer to the village of Ban Xang Khong and enjoy the sunset at Wat Phabath, which is considered an important place of pilgrimage because the shrine has a huge “footprint” of Buddha.

Day 4. Kuang Si Waterfalls – Departure
