5 Days Ha Giang Trekking Tour from Hanoi

Ha Giang Moderate Trekking Tour – 5 Days. Do you wish to explore Ha Giang in a better off-the-beaten trackway? If so, this tour is specially customized just for you! Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (Lunch/Dinner)

After pick up at 8 AM at your hotel, transfer to Ha Giang on a 6-hour drive. Chance to witness the change from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi to the peace of rural areas. Stop on the way for a short walk along with some local villages. After lunch at a local restaurant, the drive will continue along the Lo river to Ha Giang city.  Take the rest of the day wandering around Tay villages where there are vivid rice fields, traditional wooden stilt houses tiled with palm leaves, or relaxing by and cooling off in a wild stream. Have a local dish for dinner and call it a day.

Day 2: Trekking in Ha Giang – Quan Ba (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Explore the hidden parts of Ha Giang city with a full day of a 17-18km trek. Start from a local Tay village, up the off-beaten trails, winding through wild forests and captivating terraced rice fields to the highest point of Tay Con Linh range, which is the living place of the Yao people. Chance to mingle with ethnic students in a local school. Lunch at a local Yao family for a break.  After lunch, do an easier trek down to the valley. Finish the trek in a Tay village after almost 7-hour off the beaten path. Next, head to Quan Ba district in Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark.

Day 3: Quan Ba – Dong Van (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Enjoy the morning wandering around the village of Yao people on foot to learn about the living tradition and culture of the local people, or just go sightseeing in the village. After 1-2 hours of walking, transfer to Dong Van. , After lunch on the way to Yen Minh town, time for a short walk to some isolated Hmong villages. Finish the day with a visit to the old palace of the Hmong king before reaching Dong Van. If time permits, take a 20-min walk to the top of the mountain where there is a vacant French Fortress to enjoy the sunset.

Day 4: Dong Van – Hiking in Dong Van & Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Yen Minh (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

The day begins with a visit to Dong Van market. If Sunday, chance to see a unique fair of the Hmong people. After the market, hike up the mountain to the edge of Nho Que valley where you can view the majestic mountain by the border of China. The 7-km hike leads to an ancient traditional village of Tay people who live in amazing clay houses. Head back to Dong Van town on the same day for lunch before a drive to Ma Pi Leng pass.  A 20-min drive transfers you to the trekking point of Ma Pi Leng pass. Here you will be blown away by the stunning beauty of this top-of-the-world destination. This 3-hour walk leads to the top of the pass, through some local Hmong villages, and ends with a stroll along the edge of the mountain looking down Tu San valley. After a short break for nature admiration, continue another 2-hour drive to Yen Minh through Meo Vac.

Day 5: Yen Minh – Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch)

Wake up in the morning to regret passing time in this wonderland before returning to Hanoi.
