6 Days Nothern Vietnam Tour with Halong Bay and Sapa
Day 1: Hanoi arrival – free time
Designated tour guides will pick up you from the airport and drive you to your hotels, where you will check-in, relax and sleep overnight.
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay cruising – overnight on boat (B, L, D)
There will be breakfast at the hotel. By 8 am – 8:30 am, the tour guide will come to pick you up and drive you to Halong Bay.
At arrival, a welcome drink will bring you on board our lovely cruise, check you into your cabin, after which you will be served delicious local delicacies for lunch at the restaurant. Then there is a trip to one of the magnificent cave in Halong Bay, bamboo boat riding at a floating village, swimming and relaxation at one of the Halong bay beautiful islands and kayaking at a lagoon.
There are other activities you can partake in once back on-board the cruise. We have planned each day to be engaging, entertaining, free of any dull moment and worth your while. There are the cooking class and a sunset cocktail party before dinner. There is also a squid fishing trip with the crew in the evening or you can stay back on the cruise to enjoy your free time. Relax and fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the bay
Day 3: Halong – Hanoi – Night Train to Sapa (B, L)
Welcome to a new day, tea and coffee will be served quite early, followed by optional morning activities such as Tai Chi Class on the sundeck or photo hunting.
Then there is breakfast and a host of other activities. These include (if not arranged on the first day): visiting one of the enchanting caves in Halong Bay, a fascinating cooking class, panoramic view of the Halong bay from the top of one of the islands. This concludes your stay on the cruise.
There are several eye-catching and amazing views of the islands, islets (karst formation) and the bay on your way back to the harbor on a tender.
There will be a car available to take you to your hotel at Hanoi. Then you can dinner, after which a driver will pick you up by 8:00PM to the train station, for a night train to Sapa
Day 4: Sapa trekking – homestay
Upon arrival at the Lao Cai Railway station, you will be picked up and driven to Sapa by a private car. Morning shower and breakfast have already been prepared. Then the trekking journey begins to the H’mong minority villages of Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai. Lunch will either be with a local family in Lao Chai or in a drinking shop nearby the river bank. Then we will proceed further to the Ta Van village of the Dzay where we will spend the night with a local family. There will be several opportunities to experience and also partake in the culture, work and custom of this indigenous family.
Day 5: Sapa trekking – night train back to Hanoi (B, L, D)
Another beautiful day of exhilarating adventures. The journey will continue after having breakfast at the homestay to the two villages of the Red Dzao, the H’mong including Giang Ta Chai and Su Pan. Then there is a visit to an amazing waterfall and beautiful constructed rattan bridge.
On the way back to the main road through the bamboo forest are beautiful and awesome landscapes. There will be a a private car at the main road to take you back to Sapa, dinner, then a night train to Hanoi.
Day 6: Back to Hanoi – walking tour (B, L, D)
The train will arrive at Hanoi train station in the morning, where a private car will take you the hotel (on guest account). After your breakfast, there will be a tour guide available to take you on a walking tour of the oldest and historic city of Vietnam – Hanoi Old quarters and the charming of French Quarters – to learn about its rich history.
At the end of this tour, a driver will take you to the Hanoi international airport for your flight home. Tour ends.

- Homestay in Sapa: can be replaced by a hotel upon request.
- Transport: New and clean with A/C.
- Night train to Sapa: Wooden deluxe tourist class with A/C, 4 berths/cabin.
- Flexibility: the order of this tour can be changed to match the time plan/interest of customers.
- Extra night: Extra nights in Hanoi or Sapa or Halong can be arranged upon request.
- Special request (diet, vegetarian, allergy …): should be sent before departure date.
- Big luggage: are advised to leave at the hotel for customers’ convenience and comfort.
- Itinerary: can be slightly changed due to weather, availability and operating conditions and will be reconfirmed upon confirmation.
