2 Days Hanoi Cycling Tour to Tam Dao Mountain

Hanoi Cycling to Tam Dao Mountain. Here there are three spectacular mountains, Thach Ban, Thien Thi, and Mang Chi, all rising through sea clouds and combining to give this area the name Tam Dao. The highest mountain is 1591m. Located in Tam Dao National Park the “Island in the Sky” allows escaping from the heat, humidity, and noise of the city in a cool comfortable climate. There are two sites for tourists in the park. The first is Tam Dao town which was established in 1907. Tam Dao is nestled in a valley covering only 3 km2. There now remain a stone church, some villas and palaces built by French colonists in the early 20th century built a town here as a holiday resort for officials of the colonial government
TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01: Hanoi – Tam Dao (L, D)
8:30 guide will greet and welcome you at your hotel for departure to Tam Dao. Reach Vinh Phuc and start cycling uphills to Tam Dao. On arrival in the majestic setting of the mountains, you will check into your hotel and take the chance to explore and look around until dinner. In the late afternoon your guide will escort you on a trip to Thac Bac and the Silver Fall then the pet park, onwards, and a visit to the shrine of Ba Chua Thuong Ngan with its staircase and statues. In the evening enjoy a local dinner and then relax in your own time. Overnight at hotel

Day 02: Tam Dao – Hanoi (B, L)

After enjoying breakfast we will cycle down hills to Visit Thien Vien Truc Lam Temple or Tay Thien. There are many cultural and famous relics of Tam Dao including the Tay Thien pagoda and Tay Thien temple (The “Temple of East Heaven National Mother”) a place for praying to the national mother Tay Thien Nang Thi Tieu. According to legend, the National Mother Tay Thien is the spiritual atmosphere of the Tam Dao mountains. We will have lunch at a local restaurant and then start our return journey to Hanoi. Arriving at Hanoi, end tour.
