Northeast Vietnam Soft Trekking Tours – 8 Days will take you to discover the hidden beauty of the North of Vietnam with several interesting activities such as visiting Ba Be Lake dubbed as the Largest Freshwater Lake in Vietnam and also home of the Tay people which is one of the five major ethnic minorities, Ha Giang – Geological Park, Bac Ha Market – a special upland market only taking place on Sunday. Through this trip, you have the opportunity to interact with many ethnic minorities in Vietnam namely Tay, Hmong, and Nung … This is also an occasion to understand more about their daily life and culture. Here is the detailed agenda for this trip

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Arrive at Noi bai Hanoi airport and welcome by your tour guide and driver and then transfer to the center of Hanoi. Check-in hotel. the rest of the day is free. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

Accommodation at Mayde villages 3* + or similar ( The best location in Hanoi centra )

Day 2: Ha Noi – Ba Be ( B, L, D )

Buffet breakfast before adventure tour to the Northeast. We will transfer to BaBe lake this beautiful lake is famous because of its crystalline water situated in the middle of some villages of authentic hill tribes. Lunch in a local restaurant in Bac Can town. In the afternoon, we will continue our way up to Ba where we spend the night in a house on stilts beside the lake. 6 hours transferring – trekking 2 hours

Accommodation: Homestay at Tay family in Pac Ngoi villages.

Day 3: Ba Be visit the lake by boat ( B, L, D )

After breakfast, we come aboard a little boat that leads us through the Ba Ba lake. This national park offers sublime serenity and rest. The mountains are covered with thick lush vegetation in which wild monkeys and amazingly designed bird nests. Hiking through tribe villages: Na Ban, Khau Quan of the Tay, and Dao Minorities. it will enable us to understand how primary and self-sufficient life is from their point of view picnic lunch. We continue our walking toward the DauDang waterfall. After visiting Dau Dang waterfall, transfer back to Pac Ngoi by boat.,Second-night homestay. 2 hours boating and 5 hours hiking.

Day 4: Ba Be -Bao Lac – Meo Vac ( B, L, D )

Breakfast and say goodbye to the owner, we leave Ba Be to Meo Vac the distance today is a bit far (totally 250 km/7 hours transfer)possible to visit a village of Dao Tien on the way. Overnight at beautiful Hmong-homestay villages – 6 hours driving – 2 hours trekking.

Day 5 : Meo Vac – Ma Phi Leng Pass – Dong Van ( B , L , D )

Hiking to visit Ma Phi Leng pass with the best mountain views and Nho Que river and transfer to Dong Van to visit Dong Van Ancient town-an ideal destination in the north of VietNam, which preserves the tradition and cultural intangible values of ethnic people. After that, trekking to visit Mong, Tay villages, this path skirts the Chinese border soaring above a deep valley dotted with fields and rock formations. Back to hotel for overnight. 1-hour transfer and 3-4 hours hiking you have a chance to visit 2 local markets if this date is Sunday: DongVan and Meo Vac market.

Day 6 : Dong Van – Yen Minh – Ha Giang ( B , L , D )

Breakfast at the hotel then transfers to Ha Giang, the landscape and nature change significantly. From being dominated by rocks and with limited water supply, the landscape gradually opens up and reveals the wealth of peasants in an area with plenty of water in the form of streams and rivers. You have an excellent view and lie deep in the valley bottom. Trekking to visit Hmong King palace and some villages on the way and continue transfer to Ha Thanh village where you reach the Tay village. Tonight, you will have dinner and stay overnight at a homestay near.

Day 7 : Ha Giang- Hoang Su Phi – Xi Man – Bac Ha ( B , L , D )

After breakfast In the morning, walking in the Tay villages area. This is an excellent chance to get some great photos and take in the absolute beauty of the place. Transfer to Hoang Su Phi is one of the most beautiful terraced rice fields in Vietnam and it has been acknowledged by UNESCO. Lunch in Xi Man and transfer uphill to Bac Ha in the late afternoon. Overnight in Bac Ha . 5 hours driving – 2 hours trekking.

Day 8: Bac Ha – Ban Pho Villages – Hanoi ( B, L )

After breakfast, if SUNDAY market we will spend a full morning visit the beautiful flower Hmong market until lunchtime for the fore driver will take you back to Hanoi on the new highway ( If not we will trekking to visit Ban Pho villages or Trung Do villages ). Transfer to Hanoi via new highway it takes 6 hours to back Hanoi. Stay overnight at the hotel. ( If you want to connect to another tour with us to Halong bay or Ning Binh please let us know ) .
